1. Introduction

The correction policy of the Plenum.ba platform defines procedures for identifying, reporting, and correcting inaccurate, incomplete, or incorrectly interpreted information in published content.Transparency and consistency of the correction policy represent the foundation of responsible journalism, professional integrity, and public trust, and are based on compliance with:

Google News transparency standards
The Code for Print and Online Media in BiH
Relevant legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Plenum.ba commits to treating every identified error seriously, professionally, and without delay.

2. Error Reporting Procedure

Every reader, institution, or subject has the right to point out a possible error in published content.Reporting potentially disputed content can be done via the “Report Article” option, which is available at the top of every article. By clicking the stated button, users can directly report content they believe violates rules, ethical standards, or contains inaccurate information.The report must contain:

A link to the disputed content
A description of the error
Relevant sources or evidence (if available)

All reports are reviewed by Plenum.ba.

3. Timeliness of Response

In cases of valid factual errors, Plenum.ba commits to:

Correct them as soon as possible
Act without unnecessary delay or administrative obstacles

Response time depends on:

The complexity of verification
Availability of sources
The nature of the error

4. Transparency of the Correction Process

Plenum.ba distinguishes two basic categories of errors.

4.1 Technical Errors

Technical errors include:

Typographical errors
Spelling and grammatical errors
Technical omissions that do not affect the meaning or accuracy of the information

These errors are

Corrected without special documentation
Do not require a public note

4.2 Material Errors

Material errors include:

Incorrect names functions or titles
Incorrect dates numbers or statistical data
Incorrect citations of statements
Factual inaccuracies that affect the understanding of the text

Protocol:

Must be clearly and transparently marked
Published at the end of the text in the following format

Note/Correction note

In the previous version of the text published on [date], [original information] was stated:
The corrected information reads [correction]
The change was made on [date]

5. Right of Reply and Correction

Plenum.ba recognizes and fully respects the legal right to a reply and correction of inaccurate statements, in accordance with the applicable regulations of Bosnia and Herzegovina.The subject to whom the published information relates has the right to:

Request publication of a reply
Submit a correction of inaccurate or incomplete statements

To exercise this right, the subject may register on the platform. After author status is approved, the “Reply” option becomes available at the bottom of the relevant article. By clicking this option, the author can publish a reply and publicly deliver a correction of inaccurate statements, in accordance with the platform rules and the applicable legal framework.

6. Prohibition of Concealing Errors

Plenum.ba does not delete or conceal errors without clear documentation, except in cases of:

Technical errors
Legal obligations (e.g., court order)
Protection of privacy or personal security

7. Reference Framework and Legislation

This correction policy is based on the following documents:1. Law on Protection Against Defamation (Federation of BiH and Republika Srpska), in particular provisions on mitigating harm through publishing a correction.2. Code for Print and Online Media in BiH, in particular:

Article 5 – Accuracy and fair reporting
Article 7 – Right of reply

8. Final Provision

This policy is binding for all authors of the Plenum.ba platform.Consistent application of this policy represents:

The basis of professional responsibility
A condition for public trust
A key element of compliance with Google News and JTI standards
